I’m Ariyana, an artist from Maryland/DMV area.
I specialize in line work, both fine line and bold.
I love combining anime, gaming, and pop culture with traditional Asian or fine art aesthetics.
I plan on making flash designs inspired by:
- Japanese horror manga like the Summer Hikaru Died and the works of Junji Ito,
- retro films like Perfect Blue or Paprika,
- unconventional indie anime styles like TekkonKinkreet/Mononoke/Inu-oh
I also like to reference obscure museum curiosities and art (like weird seraphim babies, animal skeletons and Hieronymus Bosch), Yokai (especially nekomata), mythical creatures, florals, spooky stories, and my wrinkly old man cat, Ninja.
