The convention is held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center located at 403 N 3rd St, Richmond, VA 23219.
Where is the convention located?
Daily passes are $26.00, weekend passes are $60.00, and VIP passes are $150.00.
Tickets can be purchased in advance here on our website! They will also be available to purchase at the door.
How much are tickets and where can I purchase them?
You would contact the artist directly. All attending artists have their booking information in their profile on the Artist Line Up page. This will either be a link to book, or their instagram/email where you can arrange booking directly with the artist.

How can I find out which tattoo artists will be attending?
Yes! You will need an appropriate ticket for the show that covers the days you will be getting tattooed.
Do I need a ticket if I am being tattooed at the show?
Yes, it is encouraged to contact artists directly to book an appointment in advance.
Can I book a tattoo appointment in advance?
All tattoo artists are required to follow strict hygiene and safety protocols, including using sterile equipment and maintaining clean workspaces.
What health and safety measures are in place?
There are certain categories that healed tattoos will be allowed to enter. Please check out Tattoo Contest page for additional details!
Can I enter a healed tattoo in the tattoo contest if the artist isn't at the show?
Applications for artists, vendors, and partner booths can be found on their own application pages below or in our header under Participate.
How can I apply for a vendor or artist booth?
Yes, children 12 and under have free admission.
Are children allowed at Anime Ink Convention?
No, outside food and drinks are not allowed. There is a concession stand that has food/drinks you can purchase once you're inside the show.
Can I bring outside food/drinks?
No, pets of any kind are not allowed. Only official ADA working animals are allowed.
Are pets allowed?
No, tickets are non-refundable.
Can I get a refund for my tickets?
Yes, the convention is open to the public. Children 12 and under have free admission.
Can anyone attend the convention?
Yes, special guests such as voice actors, cosplayers, and entertainers will be attending. A list of guests can be found under the Guests header at the top of the website.
Are there any special guests?
The convention will feature cosplay contests, gaming, tattoo contests, live music, seminars, panels, workshops, afterparties, and more. Check the event schedule for a list of all our events.
What events or activities will be happening at the convention?
Yes, there will be a tattoo contest everyday of the convention with a variety of categories. Details can be found on the Tattoo Contest page.
We will also have a cosplay contest on Friday and Saturday. Details can be found on the Cosplay Contest page.
Are there any contests or competitions?
Yes, there is a parking deck available at the venue. It is located at the corner of 3rd & Marshall Streets. This deck is directly connected to the convention center via the 3rd level. Fees and availability may vary.

No, costumes (cosplay) are not required, but are encouraged for those who wish to participate in cosplay events.

What are the nearest hotels?
Yes, our dress code policy is as follows:
Clothing cannot show less than what a typical swimsuit covers (standard bikini, trunks, etc.)
Private parts must be covered in an opaque material that will not slip or have gaps.
Shoes must be worn at all times. Bottoms of feet must be fully covered.
Attendees may not wear a uniform that can be mistaken for official medical, police, SWAT, FBI, or other law enforcement agencies.
No hate symbols are allowed.
Attendees with bulky costumes, costumes that obscure the vision, or costumes with large extensions such as wings or spikes, should have a designated “handler,” to assist them through the hallways and crowds.
Is there a dress code policy?
Yes, the prop / weapons policy is as follows:
ANY prop or weapon may be subjected to weapons check at the discretion of our staff, convention center staff, or law enforcement.
Props are defined as any item carried as part of a cosplay not designed to represent a weapon and carried as an augmentation to the costume.
Prop weapons are inert items that are designed to appear as a weapon either fantastic or realistic. Prop weapons do not include actual weapons whether they are authorized, or peace bonded.
No heavy metal objects are allowed.
No sharp edges of any material are allowed.
Any item that poses a potential safety hazard may need to be removed from the convention. This includes any costume, prop, or accessory that obstructs doors or hallways, or otherwise poses any kind of danger to other attendees, staff, or convention space property.
Is there a prop / weapon policy?
Smoking/Vaping is only permitted in designated smoking areas.
