The Colors of Cosplay is a handmade costume accessory and jewelry shop that caters to all types of customers. We sell furry ears, elf ears, tails, grab bags, hair clips, alternative jewelry, tote bags, bows and other miscellaneous items. Though our etsy shop we also take special request and commissions to make the perfect item for our customers.
Our Story
I started my business in the forbidden void that is Ohio. Move to North Carolina with family, but I still travel along the East Coast and occasionally back to Ohio to sell at different conventions and events.
I am most proud of my skin tone inclusive elf ears. In my 13 years of doing business, I have never had a product so well received by the public. There was definitely a need to have a variety of skin tone elf ears that everyone could wear without the need of makeup. They are easy to wear and very comfortable on the ears. The relief on peoples faces when they see that I have more than just the basic elf ear colors you can buy on Amazon. I mix my dyes in a specific way to get each and every color. They may look simple, but they are my most labor intensive product.
“The Colors of Cosplay” name came from the concept I had for my business to cater to different genres of cosplay. I do everything from furry, anime, comic book, steampunk, Gothic, and recently Renaissance ware. I’m also indecisive and couldn’t decide on what type of product I would stick with since my style is more like a rainbow. I like to experiment with new product ideas and also do custom commissions for people. It’s always fun to collaborate with customers to make a one of a kind item.
