When anime first started getting popular in the 90s, I absolutely hated it! All of the animation styles of my favorite cartoons started being drawn to conform to anime perspective guidelines, and I swear the voices became more shrieking, too, lol. It wasn't until about seven years ago that I finally, begrudgingly, started watching anime (Do you remember your first? Blue Exorcist was mine!!), and like most people, I just kept going. Shonen is definitely my favorite, I love all of the action shots and generally hopeful protagonists (we're not looking at you, Eren Yeager).
While I’ve been tattooing for 12 years, I only started tattooing manga/anime in the past two years. I prefer to bring more of a painter/blended art style to it, rather than a straight, flat reproduction. I'd love to work on some action pieces at the convention, for sure! And I will be doing a tattoo giveaway at the convention as well, so please follow my Instagram for more information on that :)
At the show, please feel free to stop by my booth to say and recommend your favorite anime to me!
I'm always on the lookout for more new series to start.
